When you make a run to a special bowl game — in the case of Ohio State a spot in the College Football Playoff — each season seems to get closer and closer to the start of next — at least in preparation for what’s to come.
In the case of this year’s Buckeye squad, after ending things in heartbreaking fashion on New Year’s Eve against Georgia in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl, then waiting for transfer portal news and NFL declarations, it’s almost time to turn the page toward the next season and get spring ball going.
That’s right, OSU will be on the practice field for the spring in just a matter of weeks. According to a tweet defensive line coach Larry Johnson shared, the Buckeyes will get things started on Tuesday, March 7. Ohio State will then hold 14 practices, all leading up to the annual LiFEsports Spring Game, Presented by Union Home Mortgage, on Saturday, April 15.
It’ll be a spring practice everyone will be interested in, maybe more than normal with what should be a heated quarterback battle between Kyle McCord and Devin Brown.
Either way, set your calendars and get ready for spring coverage and more from us here at Buckeyes Wire.
