Lincoln Riley talks to 2023 USC football team, knows he must build something better for next season

It hasn’t even been two weeks since the USC Trojans saw their season end in heartbreaking fashion.

The defense collapsed, and defensive coordinator Alex Grinch is right back in L.A. in 2023 despite fans wanting him out.

Nonetheless, Lincoln Riley isn’t wasting any time preparing for the 2023 season.

The USC football official Twitter account posted a video, and Riley gave a ton of quotes that should have everybody ready to run through a wall.

It was not the way USC wanted the season to end, and rest assured, the Trojans will be strong contenders once again in 2023.

Riley said in the video, “Can we count on you? Are you going to be part of the change here? Start right away. Don’t wait.”

The caption of the tweet says everything you need to know: “We’re just getting started.”

The Trojans went 4-8 in 2021 and moved on from Clay Helton, so Riley’s first year with 11 wins, a trip to the Pac-12 title game, and a New Year’s Six bowl is a good way to begin a tenure at a new program.

However, there was much more left on the table, and everybody at USC knows how good the Trojans could be next season.

It is only beginning.
