Shaheen Shah Afridi was not pleased with PCB’s choice following Babar betway reelection as Pakistan captain last month. Afridi took offense at the way it was handled due to remarks he omitted from a statement that was made public on PCB’s website.

Before Pakistan played their Twenty20 International series against New Zealand, Babar had his first press conference as the team’s captain. The batter told the crowd that he got along well with the pacer. “I want to make clear that Shaheen [Afridi] and my bond is not recent, it goes back a long way,” said the actor.

In every situation, we support one another. We wish to raise awareness about my 11 circle, which is our main focus. Fortunately, none of the players on my team have the attributes that we take into account when evaluating individual accomplishment,” he said.

Recall that when rumors began to circulate a year ago that Babar would be stripped of his captaincy, Afridi was among the first to lend his support.

Regarding Usman Mir, he said, “Usman needs to keep doing the things that have gotten him this far.” We have expectations of each player. I hold myself and my players to very high standards. It makes me pleased to see younger players receiving the opportunity and guidance of more seasoned players. We strive to coach young players since playing international cricket necessitates that you start out as a dafabet and needs encouragement and confidence. Later, the sportsmen would compete for Pakistan.”

Pakistan will put its skills to the test in the New Zealand series before the T20 World Cup kicks off in June. After placing second in the 2022 T20 World Cup, Pakistan will attempt to win the championship this time.
